Today we learned about Jesus teaching His disciples to pray in Matthew 6. Preschool-age children love to talk to family members, friends, stuffed animals, and other toys. They often repeat words and phrases they hear others use. This enthusiasm for speech can be applied to prayer.

Preschoolers can repeat words and phrases that Jesus used to teach us how to pray. We helped them realize that just as they talk with others, they can talk with God, and He loves for them to talk with Him. We encourage you to talk with your child about different times throughout your day that you pray to God and intentionally take moments to pray with them throughout their day.
