Today’s story from the Bible captivated the children’s attention, because we heard about Balaam’s donkey talking. Balaam didn’t listen and pay attention to God, praying for bad things to happen to the Israelites. On his way to see the king, his donkey saw an angel and would not continue on his way, but Balaam could not see it. The donkey talked to him, and then he was able to see the angel. He fell to the ground and decided to listen to God, praying for good things for the Israelites. We used this lesson to help the children understand that God made everything, and He’ll help them know the best way to live, we just have to obey. Check out the donkey they made in class!
