Today your child learned about Saul becoming King. The people wanted a King, no matter what Samuel said, even with his warnings about it not being God’s way. God wanted to be their only King, but they demanded to have another. Saul was chosen, but he was a mean King.

As you have noticed, it is easy for your preschooler to understand opposites, so this lesson was easy to understand that God’s way is best and all other ways are wrong. We talked about how they can make decisions that are pleasing to God by choosing to follow Him. In class, we made a crown with the Big Idea on it. Ask if they can do their Big Idea with the motions for you!
