Family Devotional

WHAT YOU NEED: paper, pencils, a jar or decorative container

WHAT TO DO: Cut the paper into smaller squares – have your child help with this task if they are old enough. Gather your family and have them write the titles of their favorite Bible stories, one on each piece of paper. Remind them of some of the stories they have heard in church. Gather all of the story papers and place them in the jar.

PURPOSE: Each week (or as often as you like), have a “Favorite Bible Story Night”. A designated family member gets to draw out a story. The person who wrote the story helps to tell the story. After the story is told, everyone is to talk about something special they like about the story and how that story helps us today! Have a time of prayer where you give thanks for the story you’ve just read.
