We continued our series: “The Real Christmas Story” by learning about some unexpected guests at the birth of Jesus… The shepherds. God invited the most average and ordinary people to witness the birth of Jesus. Shepherds were not especially important in the society that Jesus was born into. God invited them in order to demonstrate that Jesus didn’t come only for the rich and powerful. Jesus came for EVERYONE: the rich, the poor, the powerful and the weak. He came for those who seem to be just ordinary people like you or me.
