Sunday, we continued with our new summer series: “8 Things We Love About Summer” as we learned all about friendships. Hanging out with friends in the summer is so much fun and as you might recall, these are some of the most memorable moments from childhood. These are also times when kids learn to endure their friendships.
Be prepared for kids to run into the house declaring that they no longer want to be friends with their best friend! But, Proverbs 17:17 says: “A friend loves at all times…” Encourage your child to stay friends and learn to be patient even when it doesn’t seem fair. If they are going to nurture healthy friendships, unconditional love is necessary.
