Sunday we learned about the strangest thing a lame man did to experience a miracle: He had himself lowered thru the ceiling to get to Jesus and receive healing. The first thing that Jesus did before healing the man is… He forgave his sins. Yep, Jesus saw that this man’s first need was to be set free from his sin. After forgiving his sins, Jesus took care of the man’s physical need.

Jesus always looks to the heart first. We can see this in a variety of examples in the many stories of Jesus. It seems that he always taught or instructed people before He healed them or did a miracle.
