Children’s Bible Recommendations

We want to make sure that elementary children are engaging with their own chapter and verse, Bible at church and at home.

Although digital Bible apps are fantastic, there’s something about being able to open your own Bible and find what you’re looking for. Here are several Bibles we are recommending that would help your child gain a love for God’s Word!

The Adventure Bible

We are huge fans of the NIV (New International Version) Adventure Bible. It’s the full-text of the Bible that has some great Bible study tools built into the pages. You’ll find simple word studies, easy-to-read articles and ideas for how the passages your child is reading will apply to everyday life… this is great for you as a parent to point out, as you read the Bible with your child.

Here are a few Adventure Bibles we recommend:

The Fire Bible for Kids

The Fire Bible for Kids is another of our favorites. It’s the first ever study Bible with an emphasis on living a Spirit-filled life written especially for kids. Again, you’ll find simple word studies, easy-to-read articles and ideas for how the passages your child is reading will apply to everyday life… this is great for you as a parent to point out, as you read the Bible with your child.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the sale of the Fire Bible is going toward purchasing Fire Bibles around the world.

A GREAT OPTION FOR STUDY AT HOME.

Action Bible Comic Book

Sometimes kids need to visualize what is happening in the Bible stories they are reading. That’s where the Action Bible comes in… This is a great resource for the whole family (the author/artist has actually done work with DC and Marvel Comics).

Although you cannot look-up specific verses in this Comic Book-Style Bible, it’s a great resource for home Bible Study as it will help your child gain a better understanding of what it might have really looked like back in the Bible days!

We realize that purchasing a Bible for your child is an investment – but, it’s an investment worth making. Please let us know if we can help you choose the right Bible for your child.
