(Psalm 139:23-24) Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

1) SEARCH MY HEART.

(Psalm 139:23) Search me, God, and know my heart…

(Jeremiah 17:9-10) The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

2) EXPOSE MY FEARS.

(Psalm 139:23) Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

(1 John 4:18) There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

àOur fears reveal where we have yet to trust God.

3) REVEAL MY SINS.

(Psalm 139:24) See if there is any offensive way in me….

Questions that reveal sin:

* What offends you the most?

* What do you rationalize?

* What do you keep denying?

SINS to ask God about—

* Sins against God

* Sins against others

4) LEAD ME.

(Psalm 139:24) See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

(Matthew 4:19) “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
